Downing Popeye's Chicken in Chicago including interviews with locals!

In Chicago I devoured a box of Popeye's Louisiana style fried chicken. It was soooo damn good! It had taste, crunch and a hint of spice. It was mind blowing. It was addictive. It was unforgettable. See videos and photos including interviews with locals!

Liquor in USA: Insanely big and insanely cheap!!!

Yesterday I went to this liquor warehouse called Binny's in Chicago. It is very similar to Dan Murphy's in Australia except for a couple of notable differences - the size of the bottles and the price! For example, you can buy a 4L bottle of wine for 12 friggin US bucks! A 1.75L bottle of Silver Bacardi will set you back only 18 US bucks!! You can also buy 1.5L bottles of Australian wine (which you can't even buy back in Australia!). You would be getting smashed everyday based on those prices! See photos!

Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Burger @ McDonald's

I know you're saying, "why the f$&? is he trying a burger from McDonald's?!" Well, I just wanted to try a burger that we don't get on the menu at McDonald's in Australia. I must say it sounded like it would be delicious, but it turned out to be quite the opposite! See photos and video!

Drinking American Indian Style

In Australia, at Indian drinking sessions, we generally have normal sized spirit bottles (i.e. 700ml) and only one type. There will also be one meat side to complement the drinks. However, here in America the standard bottle size is 1.75L and there will be several types of liquor available which will also be accompanied by several meat sides. For example, yesterday in Chicago, I was smashing down Hennessy along with shrimp, pork chop and fish fry. See photos!

My current situation

Just to put things into context, my usual diet consists of oats, milk, honey and chia seeds for breakfast. My lunches and dinners normally contain salad or vegetables combined with lean protein. My snacks are generally fresh fruit, yoghurt, protein bars and nuts. Before setting off on this trip, I have reached my goal weight of 75kg by following the above diet and an exercise routine that consists of walking at least 10,000 steps per day and going to the gym. I also use Fitbit to track my physical activity.

It's going to be awesome to be able to eat freely for the next four weeks, but it will be interesting to see if the above stats change too much as well!
